Located in Nunavut’s Kivalliq Region, home to more than 3.8 million ounces of historic gold production from the Amaruq, Meadowbank, Meliadine, and Cullaton Lake mines, the Sundog Gold Project represents a highly prospective yet under-explored opportunity.
Guardian Exploration holds an 80% interest in the 9.5 km² property under a Mineral Exploration Agreement with Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI), acquired from New Break Resources. Surface work to date has outlined shear-hosted, high-grade gold over an area 1000m x 500m, with no drilling yet undertaken.
Highlights include:
- 97.6 g/t Au in Trench 10, 11.6 g/t Au in Trench 17, and 34.3 g/t Au in black sulphidic schist in the Trench 30 area.
- Pan concentrates returning up to 336 g/t Au.
An aggressive exploration program is planned for summer 2025, including geological mapping, drone-based magnetic/VLF geophysics, and the project’s first-ever drill campaign to test high-priority targets.
